The American College of Surgeons is here to provide resources and support for graduating resident members during this next phase of your career.  Among the many career-enhancing benefits for trainees and surgeons in all specialties and settings is a new series of Hangouts in May and June that focus on the needs of the graduating resident.

Hangout Format: Three, 15-minute sessions will feature lively discussion, question-and-answer time, and opportunities to network and engage with peers.  You may freely move from room to room at any time during the hour-long hangout to capture the 3 best tips from our presenters.

Presenters and topics on Tuesday, May 17

Gather the best advice of authors of The Graduating Resident Primer and others who will talk with residents about preparation for entering practice.  The topics covered in the primer, and during the Hangout, include planning your job search and other issues to think about as you go from training to independent practice.
