  • LAST DAY TO APPLY for a Liaison Position, May 24

    The Resident and Associate Society of the American College of Surgeons (RAS-ACS) is seeking applications for liaison positions for the following Committees, ACS committees, and Board of Governor workgroups.  All positions are three-year terms that will begin in October 2022 following Board of Regent Approval. Below, please review the descriptions for each position including a summary of responsibilities and expectations. All applications will be reviewed by the RAS Nominations Committee and notifications will be sent to all applicants in Summer 2022.

    When submitting your online application, you should be prepared to provide:

    1. PDF -- Letter of interest.  Succinctly describe why you feel you are suited for this position and what you feel you can contribute to the committee and position, and how your skills and experience can contribute to the committee’s work.
    2. PDF-- Summary of curriculum vitae (no more than 2 pages).

    Register now to attend a CPT coding workshop June 24-25, 2022 in Dallas, TX.  With Medicare and third-party payor policy and coding changes taking effect in 2022, it is imperative that surgeons and their coding staff have accurate and up-to-date information to protect Medicare and other payor reimbursements, while also optimizing efficiency.


    By attending the coding course, you will learn how to correctly code your procedures and services and will have access to tools necessary to succeed, including a coding workbook to keep for future reference. Physicians will receive AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ for each day of participation. In addition, each day of the workshop meets AAPC guidelines for continuing education units – so bring your coding staff!
