  • Safe Surgery and Anesthesia Fellowship (unfunded fellowship)

Lifebox Safe Surgery and Anesthesia Fellows Program, 2020

Lifebox has developed a Safe Surgery and Anesthesia Fellowship to engage trainees and provide support and mentorship as they engage in global surgical improvement efforts. We have had two surgical trainee fellows over the past three years who have had a robust and productive research and program implementation experience in Ethiopia. Three fellowships are now available to surgical and anesthetic trainees at any level (including all surgical specialties, including obstetrics). The fellowship will include an annual $5000 honorarium as well as travel and work expenses.

We are looking for highly motivated, engaged, and creative individuals willing to spend at least one year but preferably two in-country working on implementing novel improvement programs. Our target country work focuses on Ethiopia and India, with other potential sites depending on the applicant and where upcoming efforts of the organization are focused.

Details of the position can be found here. Applications are being accepted now on a rolling basis, with a goal of having secured three fellows by this December. Please spread the word and share with your networks, and if you know if individuals who would be a good fit for this work please forward this opportunity to them.
