The 2014 Lifetime Achievement Award of the American College of Surgeons was presented posthumously to Thomas R. Russell, MD, FACS, during the Convocation ceremony at the 2014 Clinical Congress. The award, only the third given in the more than 100-year history of the College, honors Dr. Russell’s lifetime contribution to the art of medicine, surgery, and his dedicated years of service to the American College of Surgeons.
