The Department of Defense, Joint Program Committee-6, Combat Casualty Care, has a requirement to establish a clinical research network of civilian trauma facilities for the study of military relevant questions in combat casualty care. The request for proposals to create this standing trauma research network has been released and is called “Linking Investigations in Trauma and Emergency Services” or “LITES”.
