Patricia L. Turner, MD, MBA, FACS, has been named the next Executive Director of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Turner will begin her new role as Executive Director-Elect on October 1, 2021, and she will formally assume the role of Executive Director on January 1, 2022. She succeeds David B. Hoyt, MD, FACS, who has served as Executive Director since 2010.
