Dear ACS Young Fellows Association Members:
The American College of Surgeons Young Fellows Association (YFA) is currently seeking volunteers to serve on the YFA Governing Council and two of the Board of Governor Workgroups. You will serve through October 2024, and the term will begin in Feb. 2022. The call for applications includes a summary of responsibilities and expectations. All applications will be reviewed by the YFA Nominations Committee and notifications will be sent before the end of August. All candidates must be able to serve up to a three-year term without aging out of YFA (turning 45 years of age.) Nominations are open to both men and women, and the YFA encourages representation by individuals of diverse cultural, racial, and ethnic backgrounds.

Applications will include:
- A statement of interest -- PDF. State which position you are applying for and why you feel you are suited for this position and what you feel you can contribute.
- PDF -- Summary of curriculum vitae (no more than 2 pages).
What you will do
If you are selected to one of the positions listed above, in addition to the responsibilities assigned to you for that position, you will be required to participate in YFA in the following ways:
- serve on one of the five YFA Committees that meet via teleconference monthly
- submit two reports each year
