ACS President J. Wayne Meredith, MD, FACS, MCCM, has selected Resilience in the Pursuit of Excellence as this year's Clinical Congress theme—a timely and appropriate message in the current health care climate. The coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic has required all of us to adapt to new and difficult circumstances, and to adjust the ways we work, communicate, and continue our lifelong learning pursuits.
Clinical Congress 2021 will once again be held virtually over a five-day period, from October 23–27, 2021. The Program Committee and the ACS Division of Education have created a robust Scientific Program that will include a series of Named Lectures by world-renowned experts in their respective fields, more than 100 Panel Sessions, nearly 75 Scientific Forum Sessions, a wide variety of Video-Based Education sessions, and a selection of Meet-the-Expert Sessions. In addition, attendees will have access to the Video Hall and ePoster Hall. New this year, the College is offering five Didactic Postgraduate Courses, as well as the didactic lectures of 13 Skills Postgraduate Courses (hands-on skills labs will not be offered this year).
