  • Participate in a FIRST Trial Interview

Dear Residents, As part of the larger one-year FIRST Trial Extension Study, we are focusing on understanding how duty hour policies affect patient safety, resident education, and resident well being at ACGME-accredited general surgery programs across the country. As such, we are targeting residents of all levels to be interviewed as part of this important study. We are very interested in speaking with you for about 15 minutes about your experiences, preferences and opinions surrounding duty hour policies, and residency in general. To enable these efforts, we are making ourselves available by phone any time or in person at Clinical Congress 2016 where we’ve booked a room for Sunday, October 16 to conduct interviews and focus groups. To participate, please e-mail Remi Love (Remi.Love@nm.org) to schedule a phone or in-person meeting within the next few months. Sincerely, Karl Bilimoria, MD, MS John B. Murphy Professor of Surgery Director, Surgical Outcomes and Quality Improvement Center (SOQIC) Vice Chair for Quality, Department of Surgery, Feinberg School of Medicine, Northwestern University
