  • Register for the ACS Quality and Safety Conference

    Register today for the ACS Quality and Safety Conference, July 21–24, in Orlando, FL. The conference brings together nurses, surgeons, administrators, and trainees from ACS Quality Programs to discuss the latest in quality initiatives, data collection and utilization, and best practices in the field of surgery. The scientific program, scheduled in discipline- and theme-based tracks, will focus specifically on the needs of various learner groups and ACS Quality Programs.
  • ACS Communities Unavailable April 20-23

    The American College of Surgeons will perform website database maintenance and upgrades on Friday, April 20, at 6 pm (CDT) through Monday, April 23, at 9 am (CDT). Many database, search, and log in functions will not be available on the ACS website during this time. Additionally, ACS Communities will be unavailable during this time. Thank you in advance for your patience while we work to upgrade our database to improve your user experience of these functions.

    The American College of Surgeons will host the seventh annual Leadership & Advocacy Summit, May 19–22 at the Renaissance Washington, DC Downtown Hotel. The Summit is a dual meeting offering comprehensive and specialized sessions that provide volunteer leaders and advocates with the skills and tools they need to be effective in their roles.   • Clinical Congress Abstract Submission Deadline Extended to March 5

    The 2018 Clinical Congress call for abstracts deadline has been extended until Monday, March 5, at 12 pm Central. Clinical Congress offers the opportunity to present original, basic science, clinical, education, health sciences, and translational research for oral, poster, and video-based presentations at the premier annual surgical meeting.

  • 2018 ACS/Pfizer Surgical Volunteerism and Humanitarian Awards

    The 2018 ACS/Pfizer Surgical Volunteerism and Humanitarian Awards nomination website is now open. The awards recognize ACS Fellows and members whose altruism, vision, leadership, and dedication provide models to emulate and whose contributions have made a lasting difference. All nominations must be received by February 28.

    The ACS Board of Governors Surgical Volunteerism and Humanitarian Awards Workgroup will evaluate the nominations in the spring and forward their selections to the Board of Governors Executive Committee for final approval. The final awardees will be recognized at the ACS Clinical Congress 2018 in Boston, MA.
