    The 2021 ACS Quality and Safety Conference VIRTUAL has been a great success, and because the event is continuing to see a high number of sessions being viewed and new registrations, access to conference content has been extended through August 16!   • Patricia L. Turner, MD, MBA, FACS, Selected as Next ACS Executive Director

    Patricia L. Turner, MD, MBA, FACS, has been named the next Executive Director of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Turner will begin her new role as Executive Director-Elect on October 1, 2021, and she will formally assume the role of Executive Director on January 1, 2022. She succeeds David B. Hoyt, MD, FACS, who has served as Executive Director since 2010.
