• Clinical Congress 2020 VIRTUAL

Clinical Congress 2020 will be an exclusively virtual event, October 4–7. Our program will include the latest science and education for the surgical community, united under this year's theme of The Joys of Learning, Collaborating, and Giving Back. The virtual Clinical Congress will include a live component and on-demand components beyond the dates of the event. Registration will open soon--once that happens, an e-mail will be sent to all ACS members who have a valid e-mail address on file. Stay tuned!
  • Surgical Care Coalition Launch

The ACS is excited to announce, along with 11 other surgical associations, the launch of the Surgical Care Coalition. The coalition represents more than 150,000 surgeons working across the county with a common goal of improving the quality of life of patients by preserving their choice of surgical care.

The coalition is coming together now to stop planned cuts to Medicare payments that threaten patient's access to surgical care. The coalition will focus on advocating to Congress to prevent the cuts and preserve care for patients. You will be hearing more from the coalition as January 1 approaches. Visit the website for more information.
  • Bulletin Brief

Be sure to read Bulletin Brief, the new newsletter that replaces both ACS COVID-19 Updates and the weekly ACS NewsScope that you traditionally have received on Thursday night. Combining all the elements of both newsletters with new content, Bulletin Brief delivers updates on important advances the ACS and other stakeholders are making to help you provide optimal care for the duration of the COVID-19 pandemic. It also includes the latest information on other ACS activities, programs, and news.
  • COVID-19 Surgery Information and Resources

Because many surgeons are experiencing the effects of the novel coronavirus and have questions about how to handle the anticipated onslaught of cases, the ACS has developed a twice-weekly newsletter to keep you informed and updated on best practices. We anticipate you will find this newsletter useful in providing optimal care to your patients. Our goal is to keep you informed on how to address this ever-evolving pandemic using the best available information.
