David Dietz, MD is currently the
Vice Chairman, Department of Colorectal Surgery, Digestive Disease Institute, Cleveland Clinic. He has served the ASCRS in a variety of capacities and has presented and published widely on various aspects of colorectal disease to include the management and prevention of complications following colorectal surgery. He is also the primary investigator on an NIH-funded research protocol evaluating the Timing of rectal cancer response to chemoradiation to investigate the effect on tumor response rates and post-operative complications of sequentially extended intervals between the completion of neoadjuvant chemoradiation therapy and surgical resection of rectal cancers.
