Dr. Bradley Champagne obtained his Bachelors in Science from the University of Scranton and his medical degree from Upstate Medical College at Syracuse, New York. He completed his General Surgery Residency at Albany Medical College, and Colorectal Residency at the Georgia Colon and Rectal Surgery Clinic in Atlanta, Georgia. He received certification by the American Board of Surgery and American Board of Colon & Rectal Surgery, and is an Associate Professor in the Division of Colorectal Surgery at Case Western Reserve Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio. He is the Surgical Director of the Community Gastroenterology and Quality Center for the Digestive Health Institute and Program Director for the ACGME Colorectal Residency. He is a fellow of both the American College of Surgeons and American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons. He has been the Course Director for numerous laparoscopic colectomy courses held at National/International Meetings for trainees and surgeons in the United States, South America, and Asia. He is the Course Director of the Annual Past-Presidents Career Development Course for ACGME colorectal residents. Currently, he is also a representative of ASCRS to both the American College of Surgeons (ACS) Advisory Council and the Association for Simulation for Education and Training (ASSET). Dr. Champagne was the Program Chair for the annual ASCRS meeting in 2014. His research interest is primarily in surgical education, specifically training methods and assessment for laparoscopic colorectal resection. He is widely published. He is a reviewer and member of the editorial board for multiple journals. Dr. Champagne has given numerous invited lectures nationally and internationally. His high volume clinical practice consists primarily of patients with colorectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, diverticular disease, and benign anorectal disease.
