Howard will be available during this 90 min block to answer any questions you may have about the diagnosis, preoperative planning and treatment of these patients, thoughts on difficult cases, and general questions about the evaluation, testing, and management for complicated cases such as those above.  He will also be available to share any tips and tricks.

Dr. Howard Ross is an internationally recognized surgical educator.  Dr. Ross has chaired and directed laparoscopic colon surgery courses throughout North America for the American College of Surgeons, the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgery, and the Society of Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons.   Dr. Ross has lectured and published extensively on laparoscopic approaches to colon and rectal disease.   Howard has made particular contribution to our knowledge of adoption of laparoscopic procedures. 

            Dr. Howard Ross graduated from Cornell University with honors in Nutritional Biochemistry and the University of Rochester School of Medicine with Distinction in Research.  He completed general surgical residency at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine, colon and rectal surgery fellowship at the Lahey Clinic, and surgical oncology research fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.  Howard currently serves as the Chief of the Division of Colon and Rectal Surgery and Professor of Clinical Surgery for the Temple University School of Medicine.  Dr. Ross is also surgical director of Temple’s Comprehensive Digestive Disease Center.
